We interviewed Madison Rae about the black lives matter movement, advocating for the movement, and more. Below are resources to help support local black-owned businesses, mental health resources for the black community, and other links to help further the movement. And, please reach out to your friends, family, loved ones that are part of the black community. They're hurting and we have to do our best to help them. Check-in on your mental health and your loved ones. We have to do our best to help create a loving and inclusive world with equality where black people have the justice and freedom they deserve. Black lives matter.
There has to be reform there has to be education and awareness and real change. There are people in America who live in fear because of the color of their skin, people who get treated poorly because of their skin color, people who get called names, decline of certain opportunities, judged by people without them taking time to get to know them. And it happens everywhere, school, work, malls, restaurants, offices. If we don't call out people when they make jokes or comments about people’s race, we’re allowing it to happen and it's like acceptance. Use your voice and platform to speak up. It is so important to use your voice. Educate those around you, do whatever you can to help create a better world.
