Managing mental health during quarantine

First, we interviewed Colleen Millen, an amazing person, and therapist from a local counseling center. We discussed anxiety and managing mental health during quarantine and social distancing. It is hard to be away from people right now and losing a sense of normalcy in routine can impact your mental health.

Take breaks from social media!! Social media can cause more stress. Put your phone away.
Clean your space!!
Self-care!! Face masks, exfoliate, etc.
Make use of this time, SLEEP MORE. Sleep is very important.
Read/watch the news less, avoid constant reminders of the pandemic.
COOK!! Make comfort food :)
Find distractions, take a free college course, watch more movies, etc.

Do not beat yourself up for taking a relaxation week or being lazy, that's needed and don't push yourself to be productive. This is a scary time its okay to sit back, and focus on yourself and relax. Make your mental health a priority.
