I know isolation can have a huge toll on one’s mental health. So I’ve dedicated today’s post to that. Taking care of your mental health and the way you cope is important.

Here are hopefully helpful points :)

  1. Take breaks from social media!! I know it's easy to spend almost our whole day on social media because there may not be much to do at home, but it can cause more stress. Put your phone away, even for an hour a day and focus on other things.

  2. Clean your space!! Your environment has a bigger impact on the way you feel then you might think.

  3. Have a selfcare day!! Face masks, exfoliate, do it all.

  4. Make use of this time, SLEEP MORE. I get like 4-5 hours nightly due to school but now with this time apart, I have been sleeping SO much more.

  5. Read/watch the news less, avoid constant reminders of the pandemic.

  6. Listen to podcasts. ( I love one called teenager therapy! It’s on spotify.)

  7. COOK!! Make comfort food :)

  8. Work out, meditate, take walks.

  9. Start your own passion project. Yes this is broad but that’s what is beautiful about it. Draft a research paper. Make a youtube channel. Make a podcast. Start writing your own book. Start an art piece. Create a blog. Putting your energy into something you love or some sort of creative outlet is a great way to spend time.

  10. Find distractions, take a free college course, watch more movies, etc.
